Before beginning your commission, I require a non-refundable deposit of
half the total payment up front.  Once I have received your photos and
deposit, I will lay out and sketch your drawing.  I will email you a scan of the
drawing to get approval to move on to the next step.  At any point in the
process, you can ask to see how it's coming along.  Upon completion of
your drawing, I will scan it again and email you a copy of it.  If you are
satisfied, I will request the remaining portion of the payment.  I accept
money orders/cashier's checks as well as personal checks.  I will also accept
PayPal payments but there is an additional
$5 charge if you choose to pay
this way.  The portrait will be held until the check clears if you choose to pay
with a personal check.  Once your final payment is received, your art will be
mailed out.

I will do portraits of any type of animal.  From snakes to dogs, cats to birds.
I reserve the right to reject anyone for any reason.

All artwork/characters remain copyrighted to the artist (me) and are not to
be replicated in any form without written permission from me (unless
someone else or you already own the rights to said character).  By
commissioning me, you automatically agree to this.  If you have any
questions, feel free to ask.

What I need from you:
You must send me at least five good pictures of the subject.  If you only
have one or the ones you have are poor, I will not accept the commission.
The more pictures the better.  You can email them to me in .jpeg, .gif,
.bmp, or .png format.  Please send me fairly large files with high resolution.
Please don't send thumbnails or photos that are out of focus.  Remember,
the better the picture the better the final product.  If you have any
questions about the quality of your image, just ask.

If you have a preference for size or paper type, please let me know.  Price
does not change based on size.  I have Artagain paper (colored with fiber
specks in it); white Strathmore paper; and white Bristol (heavy-weight)
paper.  Also, let me know if you'd like a colored drawing or a black and
white.  Colored drawings are done in colored pencil and on any type of
paper.  Black and white drawings are done in graphite pencil and only on
white papers.  Size is up to you but I generally do not work any larger than
9" X 12".  If you would like a larger size, contact me and I will see if it's
feasible.  If you have a particular pose or way you would like your subject
represented, please let me know.

*NEW*

I'm now offering gift certificates in any denomination.  These are perfect
when you want to get a portrait for someone but don't have access to
quality photos of their pet.  They can also make great gifts on their own.
